This project showcases our high‑end retouching and compositing work for a festive Mercedes Commercial Vehicles visual. The goal was to create a magical winter scene featuring three Mercedes vans wrapped in Christmas‑themed patterns, set against a snowy forest backdrop and illuminated cabin. We refined lighting, snow effects, colour balance, and environmental depth to create a warm, cheerful, and premium seasonal image perfect for campaign use.
For this brief we produced a retouched image that delivered both holiday charm and automotive polish. The brief tasked us with enhancing the Christmas atmosphere while ensuring the vans still retained their strong visual identity. Key objectives included enriching the snowy setting, strengthening the festive vehicle wraps, boosting environmental realism, and delivering a final visual suitable for print, DOOH, social media, and retail Christmas campaigns.
Our production process combined technical precision with festive creativity:
–Vehicle Refine & Cleanup: Enhanced the patterned wraps, cleaned edges, improved reflections, and balanced surface highlights.
–Snow Enhancement:– Added depth to the snow foreground, enriched texture, and integrated falling snow for motion and atmosphere.
–Lighting & Glow Work: Strengthened light coming from the cabin, refined shadows, and adjusted ambient lighting to unify the winter scene.
–Environmental Depth:– Softened distant trees, added atmospheric haze, and blended colour tones for a cohesive cinematic winter look.
–Sky & Effects: Enhanced the night sky, refined the shooting‑star highlight, and ensured all visual elements worked harmoniously.
–Final Grade: Crafted a cool, wintery palette contrasted with warm light sources and festive colours for strong emotional impact.
Each step ensured the final composition felt polished, magical, and aligned with Mercedes’ premium brand positioning.
The finished artwork delivers a joyful, high‑quality Christmas scene that blends holiday spirit with Mercedes engineering elegance. The vehicles stand out with crisp seasonal patterns, the environment feels cinematic and cohesive, and the overall tone captures the warmth and charm of a premium Christmas campaign.
