This project presents a hyper real CGI visualisation of an indulgent chocolate pyramid, designed to showcase depth, abundance and material richness through disciplined realism rather than stylisation.
The visual explores contrast—solid forms versus fragmentation, order versus controlled collapse—using stacked chocolates, truffles and confectionery elements arranged into a sculptural pyramid. Fine particulate details, broken fragments and liquid chocolate flow are used sparingly to enhance realism without overpowering the composition.
The result is a visual set that feels cinematic and tactile, yet physically believable. Every element is designed to hold up under close inspection, whether viewed as a still hero image or as part of a broader campaign environment.
The brief was to create a CGI food visual that communicated indulgence, quality and craftsmanship while remaining grounded in real‑world material behaviour.
Key objectives included:
The chocolate pyramid needed to feel decadent and desirable, but never artificial—avoiding exaggerated effects in favour of grounded, physically plausible detail.
Production began with a carefully structured 3D layout designed to support both still imagery and dynamic moments of disruption. Each individual chocolate—spheres, cubes and filled pieces—was modelled with accurate proportions and subtle asymmetry to avoid repetition while maintaining compositional balance.
Material development focused on capturing the nuanced differences between:
Lighting was treated as a primary storytelling tool rather than a decorative element. A warm, cinematic light setup was developed to enhance depth, surface variation and micro‑detail, while maintaining believable light falloff and shadow grounding.
Controlled particle simulations were introduced selectively to add energy and realism, representing fine cocoa dust, small fragments and particulate motion without overwhelming the scene. Alongside the final renders, a wireframe breakdown highlights the underlying geometry and structural discipline required to support the apparent chaos in the finished visual.
The final deliverables form a cohesive set of high‑end CGI assets built for flexibility and reuse across digital platforms.
The still visuals function as:
Additional compositions, including fractured moments and liquid chocolate interaction, introduce variation while maintaining a consistent visual language.
Because the pyramid exists as a fully realised CGI system rather than a single captured moment, the project can be extended into:
This approach ensures the visual investment delivers lasting value, supporting brand storytelling well beyond a single release.
The Hyper‑Realistic Chocolate Pyramid Visualisation demonstrates how food CGI can move beyond surface‑level appeal to communicate weight, texture and material honesty.
By combining structural discipline with controlled indulgence, the project strikes a balance between richness and credibility—proving that the most compelling food visuals aren’t about exaggeration, but about getting the details right.
